Replacement windshield costs
Has anyone had to replace a windshield yet on a W205 with driver assist and the antenna in the windshield? Got a chip that turned into a crack yesterday and its looking like mine will need replaced. I scheduled an appointment but I was hoping someone could prep me for the costs involved.

They want close to $600 for the windshield and 300+ for installation. I have replaced mine twice... 😡 The second one was an aftermarket windshield @ $500 installed. UT roads are the worst in the country. Lived in MD&IN for 10 years and never replaced a windshield running cars at 50,000 miles a year. I have 31,000 on my C-400. Good luck!

No, I am waiting for a third party company to get the new OEM windshield in. Im expecting this week. With the crack being out of my line of sight and near the edge of the windshield, im considering just leaving it be. I don't know what I would do if I replaced it, only to have it brake again in a few months. 850 a pop isn't reasonable if its more than a one time deal.

If the crack is out of you sight, I suggest not replacing it (for now). Wait util you have another crack.
I had 2 windshield replacement in less than a month, and my fist rock chip happened after 1,200 miles and I had this car for 8 months. My last windshield lasted 15 days, and booom! another rock chip.
3 windshield replacement in total, and the last one still ok after 1 month =) There are other members confirming that the OEM windshield is not the best quality.
