Gas cap door won't stay shut

I've noticed on a couple occasions after filling up that my gas cap door will not stay closed. Every time I close it, it pops back open again. After about 15 attempts it finally stayed shut.

Anyone else have this issue? Pretty embarrassing having everyone at the station watching me struggle with this fuel door Lol.

Mine had the same issue. They fixed it when I took it in. I would have to look at the paperwork to see what they replaced but I haven't has the issue since.

When you close the gas cap keep it pressed for about 0,5-1 second and it will stay shut, dont press and release immediatly.

Tried holding it closed this morning. So far so good. Thanks for the tip!
