Lifetime oil change not transferable?
Recently bought a 2015 C300 from a private party. He purchased lifetime oil changes at Mercedes Benz of Wilsonville.
Called the service advisor and was informed that these do not transfer to the new owner...
Is this standard practice? Is it worth pursuing? Not a huge deal but a little annoyed by this...

If it's a dealer sponsored "lifetime of your ownership" my guess is it's not transferable. It can't be based on the lifetime of the car. I'd call the dealer and ask for a blank copy of the agreement.

MB's run 10k miles between oil changes, so figure a few quarts of M1 and a filter every 8-10 months depending on your annual mileage. Not worth much. It's not like it's free A-B service for life.
Hard to imagine a dealer would continue to provide free oil changes for the entire time the car existed, which, if it were transferable, is what they'd be on the hook for.
If it's something the original owner paid nothing for, it has no value and is not transferable. If it's a service contract, maybe.
