I am looking forward to joining the many W205 owners and was at the dealership checking out the 2016 C250 AMG Line I am planning to purchase. As i was going over everything, I noticed what looked like moisture stains in the Artico dashboard. The sales agent tried wiping it off with tissue paper but it would not come off. Does anyone have any idea what this is and if it is cleanable? The C250 is a SA model built in October 2015 and there is no winter in my neck of the woods so I don't think it the previous MB Tex plasticizer issue from the older USA built units. Anyone experience this before? Thanks

Have the rep take the car around back to the detail bays. Those guys can figure it out. I doubt it's anything permanent (but if it is, the dashpad can be replaced).

Luckily, I did not yet get the car. I will give them a chance to fix it then I will decide whether to get that or another unit. Hope it can be cleaned out.

I did a quick search in this and other forums but no one seems to have given a definitive answer on how to clean the stains from an Artico dashboard. Many suggestions were given but no one specifically said anything worked for them and the problem was solved. Am a bit anxious to hear about actual experiences as I will have to decide whether or not to accept the car soon. I am even considering just getting a C180 instead of a C250 as the C180 does not come with an Artico dashboard. Any inputs would be much appreciated. Thanks

Don't except it if the stain is still there...nothing to get anxious about.
