Mercedes Me - Location

Does anyone know how far-reaching the "Vehicle Last Located At" option is within the Mercedes Me app? Seems like it is limited to a mile or so.

I guess useful in cases where you forgot where to park...but otherwise I don't see much value in it!

There is a second function "Vehicle Tracking" ( "Voertuig Volgen" in Dutch), that has a much larger range.

I have it in the web app under location in the lower left corner. See picture.
I don't know if it is available in the US.

Looks like the web app is more fully functional. I use the iPhone app, primarily for starting the cars.

For my C350e i need the web app to control the hybrid functions. I use the Android app mainly for sharing locations (POI's) with the car.

To be honest, the Mercedes apps in general are surprisingly poor. The new Mercedes Me app at least has TouchID, making it easy to sign into on an iPhone. But it is painfully slow. With winter coming, I am sure I will use it for remotely starting the car, but otherwise I more-or-less ignore the app.

I brought up the location question today just to see if it was more functional that it appeared. But sadly it is not.

Anyhow, none of this changes the fact that they are a joy to drive.
