Thought I would chime in since I just got a extra key programmed with keyless go today. Not sure what the actual key fob and key would cost but I was charged 65 for programming the key. Out of state Dealer paid for keyfob but needed programing before use so had local take care of it.

I was always under the impression that the keys were ordered and came to the dealership already programmed. It would not surprise me to see a dealer tacking on additional charges for nothing, though.

Does anyone know if a used key can be reprogrammed for another car?
I bought my car from a private person who gave me a spare key that doesn't work on the car.Any chance of taking it to the dealer to code it for my car?

I'd make sure that key hasn't just suffered some dead batteries or damage.
Ask the seller if it worked before. (they might lie)
lock/unlock requires good batteries but starting does not
