Rear Parking sensors only work with parking brake ON

Rear Parking sensors only work with parking brake ON
Hi everyone!
Been looking at this for a while, but I had no luck around the Internet yet...
So I've got a C250d (w205) 2014 and its got the parking sensor and rear cam, and I was aware that the rear sensors where not working since I bought the car.
Today I made an interesting discovery... the rear sensors DO work when I put it in gear but leave the parking brake ON!
It beeps and indicates distances on the screen but as soon as I remove the parking brake, the sensors seem to stop working (Red lights at the rear indicator, screen shows red bars at the rear and constant beep keeps on until I put the car in D again).
Oh and the front sensors work without issues.
Anyone's got any ideas on how to tackle this?
