Why not as much aftermarket love for the C450/43?

So I've been researching and contacting all different companies like crazy for the past couple months since I've picked this car up. Safe to say I have decent knowledge about 90% of the aftermarket parts for this platform; and pretty good knowledge of the aftermarket parts for the CLA45/GLA45/C63 as well. But I find myself saddened the further down the rabbit hole I go.

Those other cars, especially the 4 banger AMG's, have SOOO much support from aftermarket companies when it comes to parts. They have everything we have plus things like: strut tower braces, boost gauge pods that integrate into the air vents, AIR INTAKES, intercooler upgrades, etc.. Then you have major companies like AMS offering kits for the CLA and already pushing that platform into the 11 second 1/4 mile club...... We have about 4 or so tune options that have maybe 3 dyno's between them and only AMR has taken their car to the track and managed a measly 12.3??
Why does the C450 seem to be left out in the cold compared to these other cars?

Another thought:

Long, long ago I created this sticky (link below) for the Audi A4 platform I had at the time. It really changed things from that point on. Almost everything you needed to know when you were ready to mod your car was in that thread. And all of the main companies that sold OEM & aftermarket parts was referenced. If a newb created the 254,538th thread about which intake to get, we would just point them to the sticky rather than everyone posting "SEARCH". So my question with this is, do you guys think something like this would be beneficial? And mods, would you make it a sticky if it was created? I'm also not nearly as versed in OEM info about the car so if anyone thinks they could contribute to that part (and the aftermarket portion as well as all input is appreciated), it would be a big help.

Anyways, sorry for the big drunk rant. This is just stuff that has been on my mind lately and I just had to get it out and see what you guys think. CHEERS!

Thank you for this. I'm in the same place you are with my c43 coupe. Coming from the BMW and Jeep communities, there was a ton of forum support and aftermarket options for vehicles. To me, it seems like there just isn't as strong of a modding community associated with MB in general, but especially the c450/c43 platform. So far I've done some cosmetic stuff and AMR tune. I was at AWE facility last week, pushing them to develop an exhaust for the coupe (in the pipeline). I feel like these machines have a lot of potential with the proper support. I cant believe there isn't even an aftermarket intake system!

I think the reason is because the C450 and now C43 have not been out very long. Remember the C400 existed for about a year then was replaced by the 450 which in one year has now been replaced AGAIN. New car with a new engine and a locked down software system that doesn't allow much in the way of easy modding, yet. As you can see over the months new exhaust systems and ECU flashes have come out so people are getting behind it.

I made a preliminary C300 mod list months ago, maybe people can adapt it to the C450/43: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w205/629745-mods-c300-website.html#post6841352

Not been enough time? This model is roughly 3 years old now. If a major company like AMS or the like took this platform seriously for what it is, we'd probably have a turbo upgrade option and be running low 11s by now.

Maybe they're waiting until people are done with leases and out of warranty before they're planning on major mods?

I just want a gauge pod for the vent!
