Problem to skip music with touchpad.
Hi guys,
I trying to skip musics with the touchpad but i having problems. Im on media screen menu with my music playing, but when i use my finger slinding to the right sometimes it forward the song and sometimes it skip the music to the next music. i tryed several times but cant work. I just want to skip the music fast using the touchpad. Any ideas what im doing wrong? My car is new, i received this week.

You need to make sure you're only using one finger and don't click or keep holding the touchpad.
Best way I found was to attend the 5 day intensive training course which Mercedes holds every two years where they teach you train your right eye to look at the road and then skew the left eye onto the touchpad so you can monitor precise operation of the control unit.
Alternatively try using the rotary controller - much easier.

I face the same problem. There is nothing wrong with your car.
I am using a single button and I don't click, yet the response is unpredictable. In order to stop the fast forward you can swipe either up or down.

i do this for normal media. But it behaves oddly with Spotify just moving to the same track by another artist. Whomever coded this didn't make the COMAND and binnacle media selection work the same way. Poor.

I think responses may differ according to how the pad is swiped. When swipe is indicated, then swipe but don't drag. Swipe is a quick somewhat light run over the pad, whereas drag is finger on pad and a slower and somewhat heavier more deliberate movement across the pad. Sorry, can't make any better explanation...

Is there a way to skip track when you're on another screen with the little media ribbon at the bottom of the page? So if you're on Nav screen and press the middle touchpad button to bring up current track info, can you then skip forward or back from there or do you have to go into the media page?

The swipe to the right on the touch pad behaves differently depending on the length of the track being played. If the track is longer than a set time (I don't know how many min) it skips forward about 3 min, if the track is shorter (normal song) it goes to the next track.
