I think a shop would have no problem recreating that seam and the contrast stitching and wrapping it over the existing top section of the replacement door panel. The doors on your car are unique (at least vs the US) as they don't have the seat controls up in the aluminum sections like we do. My guess is MB buys the door panels from their vendor as completed assemblies and there simply are no more of that specific design in inventory, and none slated to be produced.

I'd try getting that one panel wrapped vs swapping out the other 3 doors to be as unattractive as the new one. You want a high end shop that does full on custom car and boat upholstery.

Update to this problem. It has now been almost 6 months and Mercedes has not been able to provide me a new door side with the original design.

I have spoken with those in charge at Mercedes Sweden, and they think it's ridiculous, and their workers say that a whole department in Germany is working to get the part available. I don't think the part will be available any time.

This might seem like something small, but it has been taking too much of my time, taking time off work, many, many phone calls all over the place, and creating frustration so I'm trading in the car at my own cost.

I would be asking for four matching door cards. I had the front two removed when I had the front windows changed. They were removed in seconds as I watched them do it.

Mercedes said that it was not a solution to change all doors because then they would have to change the cockpit (the whole thing under the windshield) as well for everything to match. I would also have been very hesitant to let the same people at this authorized Mercedes dealer service center do any more work to the car as they caused lots of problems already.

1. They were going to install the acoustic glass because of excessive wind noise. They scratched the b pillar on the cars left side. 1 window was not produced well so they would have to replace that later. They had to replace the b pillar later.
2. When I went in to have a paint correction (Mercedes goodwill) they ruined (made hole) in the driver's door.
3. Went in to have the bad acoustic window glass changed and they scraped the panel that goes above the front window to the back of the door. I had to schedule a new appointment for them to change the whole panel.
4. They attached a rubber strip (name?) for the window wrong way so the window could not be opened. Had to schedule a new time to get that fixed.

It's not Mercedes fault, but partially it is because they have authorized this service center.

The only small thing is Mercedes' approach to this mess.

Well if they can't get hold of the part after 6 months then it looks like they will never get hold of the part so you need another solution.

I would rather have 4 matching door cards that didn't match the trim under the windshield as no one is going to notice that.

We need a couple of photos of both the offending door card and the good door card with part of the trim under the windshield in each photo.

The guy isn't happy with half assed measures. That is all we need to know and all that matters.
