oil change interval

OK...apologize if this was beaten to death on another thread. I just picked up a 16 c300 4 matic with about 12K on the clock. given a normal driving pattern of about 12K/year mix of highway/local.....what would be mileage interval you would change the oil? I usually do 5000 with all my other vehicles, I service myself and have a lift..OEM filter and MB recommended oil will be used. Any other issues I should be aware of with the vehicle?

thx Cliff

Every 10K miles. Follow the recommended interval service A or B.

Yes, 10,000 miles or once a year.

Times have changed with better engine efficiency and the use of synthetic oil. Bought new, I've had a 2002 BMW 325 - kept for 11 years, and a 2005 BMW Z4 - kept for 11 years. During the four year free maintenance period, I had them change the oil once a year as I was only doing 5-6K miles/year. Their recommendation was once a year or every 15K. When the 4 year free maintenance was over, I used a vacuum pump via the dipstick tube to drain the oil and replaced the oil filter (which was on top of the engine, just like ours) with an appropriate German filter. Did this annually foor each car for the remaining 7 years of ownership. When I sold the cars, their engines purred. I figure my combined total of 14 years experience with this oil change method (and if you do the research) shows that no harm will come to the engin and it will save $ (if that means anything). BTW, although my present MB is leased, I plan to do my own oil/filter changes annually...instead of having MB do it and rip m off.

This was 16 pounder caught on a 1.5" popper on a tributary of the Orinoco River, Venezuela. They won't get that big in Florida, but guys have been catching them into the 9 pound range in FL. As I'm assuming you know, once you start catching peas and experience their strength, LMBs start fitting into the sunny's class.
