I think this is the case for a money back request, they keep me in the dark for months. The car is constantly at the service. Few more months and warranty will be bye bye. I'm not sure what I'm driving anymore.
Over revving your car is what's unsafe.
They may not have finished the process in the initial repair, or you could have a bad shift sensor.....

Yes, that's what I thought in the first place, but they should warn the client if the process is not finished, that's how I see it. It could be damaged easily. Is it possible they didn't know it's over revving? Is it possible they didn't tested diff before the car is returned to me? I'm stunned, it's weird.

Just go back.
They probably just missed a step, but either way, it needs to be fixed...

I'm going back for 7 months man. And they missed a lot of steps already.. A month ago, Assist Plus has been turned off. I could easily skip the maintenance because the car didn't show notifications about the upcoming service. I was lucky to check it manually over the steering wheel 500km before overdue. I agree, it looks like a missed step. Today, just after picking the car from service, the car over revvs out of sudden. It's weird, I don't know what to say.

Believe it or not, a service just informed me about new differential approval. They're willing to try another one. I stopped counting which one is it. Unreal. It looks like they want to buy some time to get closer to a warranty date. I must admit to Mercedes-Benz they made a drive-able car with so many good points and joyride, but how many differentials they want to try on the car before they convince me it will be OK from now on? What are the odds that new differential will make any difference?

This is also developing on my 1.5 yr old W205 as well. I actually had sorta the same thing on my W204, but it was muchmore pronounced. On my 204, the dealer replaced the entire tranny under warranty. Took more than a month to fix as that entire assembly had to be imported from DE.

Just an update of the story. I was not able to find out actual condition of the car for a whole year, nor I was able to sort out a single issue I reported on the car. How is that possible, I don't know. Why Mercedes-Benz closed eyes on this, I don't know. I even took the car to Germany for inspection on my own, but it didn't helped at all. They looked at the car for several days and returned the car to me with words "There was not enough time to diagnose and fix the issues". Just like that... I complained I'm suspicious about possible parts replacement fraud, but I never got any answer from Mercedes-Benz itself on that topic, did it happened or not, nor I was able to find out why they are digging through so many parts on the car and why is so hard to get any papers regarding work on the car. Issue with the noise is never fixed. They replaced at least 4 new differentials on the car unsuccessfully. There was a problem with steering, transmission shifting gears in red zone, exhaust note at idle... I've been without a car for about 5 months in 2 years. I contacted 3 lawyers, they all turned their back on me very quickly. We contacted 5 expert witnesses, they all refused to inspect the car. I contacted 4 auto magazines for advice, none helped me out. Just after I returned from Germany, a car accident happened to me. Case closed! I've been facing misguidance, lies, betrayal and unprofessional dirty game on all levels in the chain. Now I'm forced to sell the car which I put together carefully and been waiting for 3 months to arrive. I lost confidence in the car, workshops in the area and brand itself, which I respected so much. They offered nothing, absolutely nothing as compensation, they just drowned me. After going through all of this it seems to me Mercedes-Benz is living on the old fame and glory. I don't have to mention huge health, time and money impact caused by this and I just hope God sees everything. Basstards!

What it could be? I'm going nutts, especially because it seems they consider it fixed.

Had the similar problem with my C200, apparently the diff oil had a leak, as a result the whole diff was changed.

Speaking of diff like the previous post mentioned. Sounds very similar to what I experienced with my vehicle and there is a thread about this as well.

Well, 2023, no more noises on W205s in general, hopefully?
