Agreed. Not all people are wealthy of course, but I'm sure any logical person who's in the market for a Mercedes would like to enjoy Drive Pilot, and maybe some Burmester.

Drive Pilot, widescreen cockpit, memory seats and basic 13-speaker Burmester at the very least for a proper Mercedes experience.

Widescreen cockpit and memory seats do come in most cars. But you are completely right. Just a FYI: no tax here yet cars (and almost everything apart from petrol) are still more expensive than Western Europe and the US.

Still never answered my question of how it was down to these two cars....

Like, If it was between:

540i and E43
or
M4 and C63s

Then that would make sense. But this choice still baffles me

They're both the same price. I know they're different categories but one can still choose between both and view pros and cons of each car.

Cayman S
E400 vs C63

Cars here are always priced much more than the US, for the C63S it's more than $23K. I agree that a C63S is a much better car but not sure why my brother isn't convinced. The C63S smells new and has the first edition package with the beautiful red carbon fiber center console and all carbon fiber packages. See photo for the exact car (just took this one photo):

Before buying my E400, I compared it to the C43, drove both quite extensively. The E400 is a more substantial car, better high speed cruiser, plenty of practical power, nicer dash, seats are great, just a very solid car. To me there was no comparison. I've had it a year now, and I continue to grow fonder of it. I love the looks, the way it drives, best balance between agility and stability. Much more classy. But, if I were buying a car primarily for performance purposes and were willing to compromise on other factors, probably the C would do it. However, I owned a Cayman S, and no sedan compares, so if it's performance I'm after, it's a Cayman or 911.
