C250 vs C300 tuning options

C250 vs C300 tuning options
Hey guys!
I'm planning on buying a w205 this spring(talking about Europe here). C300 would be preferred, but I see C200 and C250 have the same exact M274 petrol engine which has been detuned via software.
So the question of the day is why buy a more expensive C300 when I can get a C250 and get it chip tuned up to C300 power output?
What are the tuning options, what should be considered, any downsides, etc?
Tuning box or straight ECU tune?
Anyone gone the same route?
