Roadside assistance vs. towing insurance?

Pleas excuse a temporary interloper from the W209 forum. I am asking this question here because your cars are new, because google searching has turned up nothing (surprisingly), and because the BMW X3 forum is about as active as the Cleveland Brown's Super Bowl planning committee. Here's my question. I bought my wife a CPO X3. On my Allstate insurance on the car it replaced, I carried towing insurance. Assuming BMW's roadside assistance program is roughly like MB's, is towing insurance redundant? Surely some of you faced that same decision. Thanks.

Yeah, regardless of who you buy roadside assistance (which is different from "towing") from, your call is going to be routed to a 3rd party call center, and then dispatched to a local tow company. I'd drop the insurance coverage as long as the mfr's roadside assistance is active.
