Should I leave this Rock chip alone?

I found a tiny Rock chip size of a dot.
It doesn't bother me at the current form but would
the chip turn into a crack if not repaired?

A glass company can fill that and you'd never know it was there.

Do you think I can get a glass repair kit and DIY?
If I do call a company how much would they typically charge?
If I leave that alone for something would it turn into a larger crack?

Thanks

Are you in the states? If so, most insurance companies will pay for the repair. Just go into any auto glass shop and they will take care of the rest.

Only catch is that being in California.
Our comprehensive insurance doesn't cover
cracked windshield without a deductible
and the deductible is $250 and I'm sure the repair is $50?ish? What can be the best price?

Often windshield chips or minor cracks can be repaired. If your windshield is repairable, the repairs can be done at no cost to you. You won't have to use your deductible. Call your insurance to find out.

Most Insurance companies waive the deductible for windshield repair vs replacement. Call your insurance agent and ask.
