Changing multimedia display size - post purchase

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could advise me,

I have a 2016 c220d and i currently have the standard display (non command). I wanted to know if I can simply swap the unit (plug and play) out and purchase the larger screen and it would simply plug in, work and fit knot the connections/ same place as previous?

I am also wondering if I can apply the same logic and simply swap out and install a Mercedes-Benz 12.3inch HD Capacitive touch screen GPS upgrade kit - or wouldn't this work?

Link for this model is:

Any advice would be most helpful.

Not a simple plug and play. You could swap in the larger OEM screen but the image it displays will be the same small size. The 12" screen in the video is completely aftermarket and also not plug and play. There really doesn't appear to be an easy way to get a larger screen in a 205 other than buying a car that has one.

The 12'' screen is plug and play. There's no wire cutting or programming needed.

Didn't you run into programming issues with yours? I remember a lengthy thread where you were going back and forth with the vendor about some missing functionality, and some menus not in English. Did that all get worked out?

Hey Mike, that was a different after market unit. It was 8.5", same size with Command. It was the reason i had to return and tried 12". The 12" works fine. I've been using it since.

Ahh. I remember the Plug part was fine but the Play part was glitchy. The 12 looks like it's running its own OS and everything. How was the integration with the OEM features?
