BOV question, GFB vs Agency Power vs TurbotKits

Hi guys,

question regards to the BOV adapter for our W205s.

I noticed that the BOV from C250, C300, C400, C450, C43, C63 are all the same and I begin to search to see if it a common parts that is used in modern cars.

From the TurboKits, com I found that Mini Cooper S also uses similar style BOV adapter.

http://www.turbokits.com/Mini/Cooper..._Adaptor/2457/

I also then compare the TurboKits.com style and Agency Power style

https://www.agency-power.com/shop/ag...300-c400-c450/

and found them quite similar, it is more of a spacer rather than a BOV that draws open air into the turbo's circulation .

Then I think back to the GFB style BOV for the W205 and found that they are a true BOV rather than a spacer.

http://www.gfb.com.au/products/blow-...d-volvo-detail

My two questions then is,

Will the Mini Cooper S / Ford / Volvo BOV fit in our W205s?

gain from true BOV(GFB style) vs BOV Spacer~

Any inputs are appreciated. Correct me if I am wrong at them.

Thanks!!

Good question ! I would like to know that too ! seems the BOV from turbokits , weistec , etc is only for show off while sacrificing the performance.

In my opinion, it would be better to get the GFB DV+, as this doesn't do the vent off like the other units, and this actually helps improve the spooling, by replacing the rubber seals/plastic parts with a brass piston/alu housing.

Here is the link: http://www.gfb.com.au/products/blow-...d-volvo-detail

I would recommend buying it direct from GFB, as there are many knock-offs in ebay. the price is pretty much fixed, so if you see one which cost much cheaper, it's probably a replica!

Anyway, just to make it clear, i am not a seller and do not earn anything from GFB. I am using their product and just simply happy with it and want to share.

In fact I just ordered mine today, GFB DV+. I am using it for my C43 biturbo, so I ended up ordering 2 of them. Forget about turbokits or weistec BOV, they're only for showing off.

Since the GFB DV+ replaces the factory bypass valve internals, you can use it and our spacer if you are looking for an upgrade on performance and sound
