In Toronto, Canada region, my MY2015 C400 came with it as well as the cargo net.
Found it under the trunk liner where the spare normally goes.

For anyone interested, Costco Canada has some "clever crates" which are collapsible just like the ones that came in our C450. They are 10 bucks and a little larger. I bought a few to throw in my truck and 1 in the merc. They are great.......
