Dealership sold me a car with worn out tires??
Hello Everyone, so I had bought a c300 with around 4900 miles on it about 2 months ago. Never got around to checking the tires, as I thought they were new, I was waxing the car today and detailing it when I noticed that they are pretty worn down. its Sunday and my dealership is closed today, what would you guys do in this position?? They are the performance Tires with the 19" AMG wheels. Any input would be great . Thanks

"Do" as in expecting the dealership to replace the tires? Nothing. You bought a used car with used tires. If they're no longer safe replace them. The dealer is out of it. The car wasn't sold CPO correct?

is it true that CPO cars get new tires before they are put up for sale?

"You mileage may vary" from dealer to dealer with CPO.
A few years ago my sis bought a CPO 2011 Suby Outback from Grand Prix Subaru in Hicksville, NY. The moment she rolled out of the dealer lot, she needed to order 4 new tires. Unbelievable how the dealer could sell her a car, and pass it for safety inspection, with tires that were so worn. I'm sure if she went to another shop to get the car inspected, it would fail on tires.
The car was stopping, but wasn't stopping so great. It needed a brake fluid flush badly. Brake pads looked fairly new, but we changed them out anyway because we didn't know what kind of pads were on the car. Then stopping performance improved greatly.

CPO new tires
I have bought two E class CPO's. Both had approx 30k, and new tires. Why new tires? They were worn out. Buy a CPO with 10k, and you will probably have tires with 10k on them unless they have been damaged, and had to be replaced.

Okay just I was just wondering.
Because my dealer said they always put new tires on cars that are returned from lease.

As others have said, it's your car and you're problem. You took delivery of the car which means that you accepted it in the state it was in. It's not the sellers responsibility once the sale is complete. Lesson learned.
