Touchpad sticks when hot
I have noticed my touchpad does not work once it gets hot from sunlight. I am thinking about adding window vent shades if available. Also thinking about a windshield shade. Not really too excited about having to open windows and cover the windshield each time I leave the car but would like for the touchpad to work on the rare occasions I use it. Anyone else experiencing this and if so how are you dealing with it? I tried throwing a microfiber cloth over the pad but it still got too hot and stuck. Maybe I need to use a thicker towel?

Ultimately the heat shouldn't cause it. Get it checked out by your dealer. There were heaps of issues early on with the touchpads. They have a 'palm' sensor which locks/disables the click-down mode in the pad when you have a broader surface area making contact. You need to find out whether the mode is getting triggered or if it's a physical fault of the switch. They can do diagnostics with Xentry to determine if it's working properly and if not, replace it.
