Compact Spare Tire for W205
I just bought a 2017 C300 4Matic with the sport package and although the car comes with run flat tires I would feel much more secure having a spare tire as well even if it is just a compact spare. The car comes with 225R45 18s in the front and 245R40 18s in the rear. Can anyone tell me the correct size compact spare to buy? The past threads on the forum concerning spare tires only refer to the standard 17 inch tires, not the 18s that come with the sport package.

The correct size is 135/80-17. It is about the same size as the sport tires/rims and is the spare that is sold as an accessory by MB in overseas markets for the 205. I have fitted it on both the front and rear and it clears the calipers of my Sport. I purchased one on Ebay that had not been used and a MB jack for under $200. I drive some very remote roads and need the security of a spare. See this thread for some more info. I got rid of the run flats too, big improvement in ride, noise and handling.

I was looking at the Porsche Macan the other day. It has a flat folded, deflated spare tire, and an inflator.
Yeah I know. I said the tire was folded flat and you thought like a half moon.
I thought it was one of those cool prototype airless tires. It was not, but still a very cool bit of packaging.

I started looking into this tire a little bit. It's called a Space Master and apparently it is used in an SLC. I couldn't find anything proving that besides an image from a foreign website however.

Thanks, Mike. I really appreciate it. I already put more than 100 miles on the car. So far so good.I wanted to wait for the FL time which would have the 9G Tronic and a bump in hp, but the deal is so good, I could not pass up.

Spare Tire ?
I have the staggard 18" 5 spoke a gray set of wheels that came from the factory this way. I recently converted my tires from run flats but I do not have a spare. I read on the forum that someone posted a 135/80-17 will fit my car. Do I need 2 spares since front and back are dif sizes or can I just buy a 135/80-17? I can't find an 18" spare kit anywhere on ebay... I drive long distances and don't want to be left hanging.

Let me know if you want to buy an OEM 18" wheel. I am selling 3 of mine and keeping 1 as a spare. You will need to get a tire to go with that but you can get one reasonably used at a tire shop. They should give it to you for free or barely a few $'s.

I have 18's on my 2011 W204 and the donut spare in the trunk is a Continental 125/90R16. That might work on a W205?
I also found this on tire rack (135/80R18) :

Help!
Just leased an AMG c coupe a year ago. Continental run flats are a nightmare. No spare. AAA is tired on me and MBZ roadside service is awful. Need help on finding a spare that I can keep in the trunk. Any help is appreciated.

I'm think that most if not all Mercedes have the same lug bolt pattern. Is that correct? If so, I'm wondering why spares on eBay from different models woul not work There's a bunch on eBay, but from various models.
