Question about spacers

I am keen to purchase spacers to put on my C180 back axle. I do have 17" alloys and I would like to keep those because of ride comfort. It is a S205 and I do not seek for performance improvements.
However I would like to give the car a bit more "muscle" look as 17" wheels are quite small for this car and they do not look nice. Because of this I was looking for some 20mm spacer (40mm in total) to put on my rear axle.
I was looking at EIBACH Pro-Spacer System 7 (http://www.biesheuvel.nl/e-klasse-coupe-c124-50mm.html) and I do have a couple of questions.
Thanks

- May I run with spacers only on the rear axle? (no spacers on the front axle)?
- Would this influence my suspension geometry or may it compromise the safety in any way?
- Is the tightening torque for wheel bolts 130Nm same for all C class cars and wheels?
Thanks

Spacers do affect the suspension geometry somewhat by effectively reducing the wheel offset. They push the suspension loads outward in a way that wasn't intended.
20mm is pretty aggressive so make sure there is currently about 1" of clearance between the top of the tire and the inner fender lip.
In my experience the thicker they are the more prone they are to vibrate. I've run 20mm on the rear of my S and they were fine, but I'd avoid putting spacers up front if I could avoid it.
Make sure you get new lug bolts that are longer by the depth of the spacers.
