Lighter socket stopped working after penny got stuck in there
hurray, another god damn problem. Stupid penny got stuck in there and after I got it out, blew out the fuse and stopped working. I need it for my charger and radar. What in the world should I do? Smh 🤦*♂️

You're asking the question that has the most obvious answer of replace the fuse and if it doesn't work replace the socket. Did you expect a different answer?

You're not having a good week are you.
I'm hoping you've check all of your fuses and not just the 12V outlet sockets (i.e. the trunk box; fuses 445-447). If you've swapped out the damaged fuse(s) and its still not working, I'd visit the dealership. Not much else you can do.

You're just not a car guy are you. Most of us here would have assumed a fuse was blown, referenced our owners manual, and attempt to change out the fuse ourselves.

The cigarette lighter fuse is located in the fuse box in the trunk, under the trunk floor. It's a 15 amp fuse in position #446. It's in the cluster of fuses top left.
Locate the fuse using the attached diagram to orient yourself, and pull the fuse out. Needle nose pliers work well, or your fingers.
Replace the fuse with a fresh 15amp one. They're available at any auto parts store. It's a good idea to buy an assortment and have them handy.

And .... if you don't want to do it yourself, just bring it in to a local garage or your dealer to pop in new fuse. This is really very simple stuff.

hey potty mouth, look inside your glove box and grab that book marked owner's manual if you don't like suggestions offered here. That think is chock full of helpful information about you car. If you look in the book, they even offer instructions on filling your car with gas. Don't forget the fill the tank every time you get to less than 1/4 of a tank. . .
The same thing happened to my VW. Dime fell in there and shorted out a bunch of stuff. The dealer covered everything under warranty.

Replacing a fuse is very basic. My last comment is that I suggest you find another forum. You're not welcome here with that rather abusive attitude.
