This is one thing that I'll never update in this car. Much more cost effective, useful, accurate, etc. to just have a Kenu XL mount in the center AC vent and use Google maps on your phone which you're already paying for.

yes. you need to purchase a new card if you want the latest map, that' what i did. i bought a new card at ebay currently selling at 120$.

the new map v8.1 is only 6 months newer than the old map 2015/2016 v5.0.

map v8.1 dated Jan 30, 2016
map v5.0 dated July 1, 2015

that is why i still heard people complaing about the new map, some new streets still dont exist. (the latest v8.1 is dated Jan 2016)
