when I would unlock my car the headlights will turn on and the side door handles light will turn on. now it doesn't, what should I do to get it back to old way ? Thanks

 

Check your vehicle settings to see if they have been changed.

 

Check that it's dark out.. mine only does it at night

 

If your settings were changed and you didn't change them, I bet you have the settings loss problem.

 

I didn't get P2 package, is there any way for the car to lock itself after I exit the vehicle? Right now I have to click the lock and there's a honk and the mirrors shut. But if I don't press anything, nothing happens.


regret it for sure not getting p2, I got used to comfort access on bmw. A few times I completely forgot to lock the door

 

Unfortunately car does not lock itself if you forget.

 

Guys - in vehicle setting all lights are on..but still doest work...anyone else can help me? Car headlights and door handle lights dont come on when i unlock car and its TURNED ON in vehicle settings

 

I told you they only come on at night!!!

 

Man...if we find out waiting until night time is the solution...
But yeah if it's not the solution, take it to the dealer and beg for mercy

Ignore the guy. Some people on this forum are not here to help others.

 

Make sure you have the Locator lighting turned on (Settings > Locator Illumination)
AND... make sure your light switch is set to AUTO. If you have it on any other position the lock/unlock lighting won't work.

 

I wonder if the interior light button needs to be switched to on for when you open the door. The button is usually located on the overhead console.

 

You need to make sure you the car isn't running when you unlock the car

 

Why would he have the car running if he is using the seek function?

 

yup thats what it was. It wasnt turned on AUTO..usually always is on auto, guess my knee or something turned it without me recoginizing (high af) thanks dude!!!

 

Put duck tape over the switch like I did to keep that from happening
