Why does this forum still exist

I'll list all I have learned and have fixed on my W205. I hope by the end of this, you will realize the c to even e classes after 2015 have been poorly executed. And that said my hope is you will dump the Mercedes brand altogether for its quality problems.

. rattles from driver door panel. Very common. originate from seat switches. Don't need to tak door panel off. Just stuff felt/qtip cotton inside hollow switch bits
. wind noise. Acoustic windows are a wash. Jusy stuff foam between the felt and rubber trim around the window lining
. Command rattles. Torx 20 screw needed .pry off dash speaker grate. Loosen the 2 torx screws to remove command unit. Felt the frak out of it and stuff the unit back in
. headliner rattles. Stuff more felt and foam everywhere you hear it. Rinse, repeat

you want everyone to dump the brand because you've had 5 issues? Me thinks that's pretty drastic. I've had far more than that in 6 mos of ownership of our second Mercedes, but the dealer treats us like kings and fixes everything. Problems solved.

Finally the elephant in the room. hard shifts. A lot of what CFG said is for fanfare and fantasy so take him/her a with grain of salt and move on..headkraut reference etc. you will only be able to alleviate but not diminish rough shifts in only one of twoways. Attach a Dinan, or Sprintbooster to up rev and shift points. Otherise don't buy a 7 or 9 cog C or e class 4 cylinder. A FWD lexus will do more for you.

Sorry, I probably should have included other family Mercedes units which bring the total to around 8, in 30 or so years. And I had forgotten we actually have had 3, just recently traded for a glc.

That being said and in no means am I attempting to compare junk size, but I came from Audi after repeated horrible service experiences in two states where problems were denied, ignored or otherwise claimed resolved but never touched. That's multiple dealers in two states with Audi. Never again.

No car is perfect, but it's what happens and how you're treated when there's a problem that makes the marked difference in nameplates.

Just my .02c.

you were treated better in MB over Audi, yet I did not mention customer service. FYI I also owned an S5.

perhaps the grain can only be felt with retirees who have ample time on their hands to rustle with a dealership.

Ha, ha! Ad hominem, thy name is....

It can be fixed, and you get a loaner under warranty.

Mercedes is known all over the world as a status symbol..you could take a Honda Accord and dress it up with Mercedes sheet metal and people would buy it because it has the 3 pointed star..it has nothing to do with the build quality or the dependability of the olden days anymore

Glossolalia? I think not. The fix takes two days and the loaner is a warranty item.

I dont get the logic and how a status symbol is grounds to negate a mechanical fail. Btw have you travelled. You know you can hail down an s class taxi in Sweden.

You really are funny. Lost in translation I think. It is an ad hominem to attack one's age, nor could you possibly divine others' states of mind.

If you choose not to believe it, that's fine. The tranny can be fixed, and MB supplies a loaner. QED.

Anyhow, I hear lingonberries are in season.

. road noise. Switch to Michelin, Kumho, cooper whatever non flats, significantly less harsh. Then stuff dynamat in wheel wells. will reduce cabin noise by 1 ish db.
. Burmester vibes on high fq and over Bluetooth.. Need to pull out door panel unfortunately. Pop speaker and twitter off. stuff foam liberally
.

So heres what you do. advertise said patch version, detail 2 day procedure, and the dealership you visited.

I do not enjoy the abrupt sweetness of lingonberry in conjunction with seasoned meats. No one speaks Latin except within legalese. How are you branding yourself exactly. As someone who knows more than anyone else ?

I can't help you in Sweden, Wallender, but Mercedes of Lynnwood, in Washington, and Mercedes Thornhill, Toronto, Canada, both know the drill.

Great, call the service manager at either dealership and ask them to help you get the fix. They'll help your dealer.

Sorry, I simply found your syntax somewhat unusual.
