C300 turbo
So the tuning has turned out to be a bit more challenging than initially expected..the ecu of these vehicles are very complex..the final tuning is going to be tackled mid January..so hopefully we’ll have some final numbers soon

Future design
I originally had 235”s up front and 265”s out back but after lowering the car I had to go to 235”s all around because of the offset of the wheels..my tires are right at the edge of the fenders

If I change my wheels again I’m going to 265”s out back again
but as you can see here there’s just no room to go wider due to the fenders and offset

the spoiler is from future design ..all the carbon parts on the car came from future
Future design
I originally had 235”s up front and 265”s out back but after lowering the car I had to go to 235”s all around because of the offset of the wheels..my tires are right at the edge of the fenders
this is what my car currently sounds like without the mufflers and primary resonator: when shifting with the paddle shifters I sometimes get a loud backfire but it’s not quite as consistent as I’d like it to be. Possibly open down pipe?

you can actually fit 275”s under the stock suspension with the proper offset ..265”s are no problem
the c63’s come stock with 265”s out back and the c63’ is the same as our c300
if you want the consistent “burble” or fire it’s really about the tune
take it to a good tuner like amr and they can load a fire breathing tune into it with the exhaust you have
Catless downpipe would help but I don’t think you’d really need it
wait til you see some of the fire breathing pics of my c300 that were captured while it was on the dyno
everything will I’ll be posted once the tune is done

they think they have the mapping figured out so we should be able to get a solid high boost tune on it
if all goes well I’m hoping to get it back by Friday this week!

Meth kit
from what I understand the meth is really used to lower the intake charge/temps ..with the stock 12lbs it wouldn’t give you anything
my meth is tuned to inject at around 12-13lbs +
This big turbo upgrade by turbokits is making 25+lbs of boost in my c300

mine is also got delayed because must tune it again after the meth installation correctly

Wanted to ask if you had any thoughts or suggestions on how your project went so far with relation to needing other internal engine upgrades to compensate for the higher boost levels?

Aj, been following this thread for awhile. My compliments and congrats to you on your project.

AMR has been great as well as Jesse ..your 450 is going to be a rocket ship!
AMR really knows what they’re doing and can see any signs of internal motor stress or Malfunction while tuning ..so I wouldn’t worry about the internals for now. Rob at AMR mentioned that they’ve been able to make some pretty killer output from the platform you’re starting with.
I also have a 2015 Jeep SRT that I just had a new turbo motor installed into..it’s not quite done yet but when I get it back I’ll be bringing it to AMR for some fine tuning!
