C300 Sport AND 93 Mazda RX7 Single Turbo
Im in the market for more power in the C300. Some of us already bought the cars and realize we want more power later. Its not easy to drive down to the dealership and trade up. Chances are of eating a ton of depreciation. That being said, I dont see anything wrong with wanting more out of the 2.0L turbo.
Audi a4s and VW have been doing upgrades since the early 2000s to little 1.8-2.0l T
240sx with SR20s. 2.0L Turbo
MR2 SW20 - 2 liter Turbo
All these cars have squeezed tons of power out of their little motors.
Once my warranty is up and i am bored i will be doin the same. Since i plan on keeping the car

Great point! We have locked in a test car and already have the turbo in the process of being upgraded. It won't happen in weeks, but it will happen

Dude, quit being a douche. It's not your car and not your money so why the hell do you even care? Let people do what they want.

CFG, we get it, you don't think the platform is good. You have made your opinion about this very clear. I think it would be great to step back and allow the C300 owners who are interested to continue discussing in this thread. Thanks.

It is a forum which invites comment. I suffered a personal attack and responded. What you choose to do ifps your business. Whether anyone wants to polish this thing is theirs, but I reserve the right to respond to personal attacks, including yours.
oh, one last thing: if you put a consumer product on the market, YOU INVITE comments. Sum: people with more money than walking around sense need a contrary view so they can consider carefully and look before leaping.

Syllogism? Really, man? As if you weren't already enough of an a$$hole.
And quit trying to justify your comments here as you were "just defending yourself" or that the people deserve a "contrary view so they can consider carefully and look before leaping" Get real, pal. You're being a complete and utter ****. There is a difference between stating that 4 cylinder motors are designed with economy above all else, and doing what you have been doing. We could go back and forth with reasons for and against increasing power output on these motors but it's a dead horse. But the fact that people have been tuning the base model 4 cylinder cars from pretty much every manufacturer since the first one was rolled off the line, yet you somehow have it in your head that, not only are you the first person to ever opposed to the idea, but that you're somehow going to convince this community to not even bother. Haha I honestly can't decide if that is more idiotic of a move or just sad that you care this much. Honestly, whatever your reasons are, that's up to you. I can't even insult you now as I type this out. Now I just feel sorry for you

Without setting cfg off on another useless rant. How is the upgrade going to the c300. I have an itch to mod the car and would like some "positive" info (not from cfg) and a bit of a time line on what is being developed.

Turbo is at the machine shop getting the upgrade treatment and we have a test car booked for when it's done...

The inconvenient truth is, opinions are like *******s... everyone has one and CFG's stinks.
He likes to come here and tell everyone with a c300 how useless the car is. Truth is some of us love our cars and are sick of hearing from him/her none stop.

CFG is poor by design as well. A dictionary in one hand and a thumb up his *** with the other. Over here in New York, CFG is what we call a bmw owner, always hating. ALWAYS HATING. Stop hating CFG.
I am very interested in a turbo upgrade for the 2017 c300. I will be following this closely to see how it pans out. Unless CFG decides to start his own protest/rally against the turbo 4 cylinder engine design.
In which case, I might have to get my bachelors degree off the wall and start going toe to toe with this stubborn version of tommy pickles.

The only time I’ll ever agree with you is on the bmw 2002. That was and still is in my opinion a marvelous 4-engine. The handling sucked but nothing like an upgraded suspension couldn’t fix. Also you couldn’t put more than 2 people in the car without the tires giving out on long drives.
Back to the c300 - yes economical. But off the line it’s a pretty solid torque heavy engine. Better than it’s predecessors such as the w204, etc. Again just like the bmw, nothing a Dinan tune and intake (which I have) can’t fix. The sound is not AMG, but we are talking apples to elbows here.
Sesquipedalian is a simple word for a long winded man. Ha!

CFG ala Mr. Pickles. You’re talking again.
Well, well, well Susan (name change...Susan’s in general never shut up).
The protest/rally continues...I anticipate signage soon (on your end) to show your support in “Occupy in-line turbo 4 cylinders”.
It’s a great 4 banger. I need you to sit down - get down off your c450/c43/c400 AMG high horse and realize Mercedes made a quality product WITH a quality engine that is both reliable and economical.
Not only that, there is significant room for improvement. Even if you say the engine is ****, entitled as you are, is baseless. Your basing the facts on your miserable experience and on others that bought a c43/c400/c450. Completely different but beautiful engine with miserable fuel economy and no upgrades (besides a baseline tune). Maybe a turbo upgrade soon, but, again, who knows ?
Should we all start getting upgrades and improvements to our cars only at the AMG level ? No way Susan.
In addition, I think you stink.
Stink.
I smell it through my acoustic glass.

Hey All,
Not sure if you have seen what we have done with the CLA 250 (https://mbworld.org/forums/cla-coupe...rade-here.html), but we are looking to give the C300 2.0T the same treatment.
If there is anyone in the CT, MA, RI or NY area looking to partner with us on this journey. Hit us up
Thanks

So you own a CLS and a c450 AND Australia for 3 weeks...and your on a forum for a c300 turbo upgrade.
(Let’s face it, by the time they get to the c400-c450-c43 upgrade - it’s going to be a while).
Dump the CLS and the c450 - buy an E 63s. Hell, buy a c63s outright!
Also Susan, I’ve been meaning to talk to you- you gotta get off the internet. You’re an inline 4 cylinder ****.
Take a cold shower. You stink bro.
