W205 seems to be a kit car
I thought it was only me but
looking at some posts
car has some minor issues like rattles and stuff
which gets fixed by the dealership.
Why can't they just do it in the first place?
Every W205's (at least the U.S built ones) should be test driven and repaired by the dealer before delivery at this point.

It's good that MB is building cars in the U.S
but tbh panel gaps and overall build quality is worse than the German built counterparts but we pay
the same and should get the same quality.
At least the issues are fixed by the inconvenient trips to the dealer.
Our family's first Mercedes the individual ordered
2005 E200K (South Korea) built in Germany had zero rattles
and still, runs nicely after 300K Km.
I have to admit having two Alabama built MB's.. 2005 and 2016
Alabama quality is getting better but not the same stage yet.
My ML truck has panel gaps found on most American cars...
but the W205 is way better in terms of that.

It's hard to tell if the new ones are any different , the noise and rattles just developed and worsened with more miles.
Another thing is the ride quality of the w205,i just can't believe they approve a car with such a poor ride quality, how do they get away with it lol the none runflats are okay but the eclass with runflats drives fine just don't understand why it's not duplicated on the w205.

The car is not poorly built, nor was it poorly assembled.
Most of the rattle and squeaks are from the interior parts that are rubbing against each other, which can be resolved if MB had picked better materials or put in some effort to address them.

Don't have the sedan, but do have the coupe. This is my first MB, so can't really compare to the sedan, but the coupe built in Germany is superb from any angle...only problems have been chattering wipers and sucky sound system...neither of which can be fixed.
