Mercedes Companion app
Hi ,
i have C450 2016 until the recent update of the companion app , it was working except some issues With text input and lagging . But still operational esp entering the address and sending it to the car .
Now post update it’s not connecting at all and do not see the authorization request on the command screen .
has anybody had the same issues and got any workarounds or to wait for the update only .

Eh, for the most part, yes it is useless. But if you aren't in your car and want to know how much gas you have left or know your tire pressure, it could be useful. But yea, your phone's bluetooth has to be on while you're driving for it to sync.
After I dloaded iOS 11 my bluetooth always automatically turns itself on when I get in my car

I agree and that’s why apple gives you the indication of driving therefore not taking any messages .
thr major use of the app was to search the Poi and directly send to the car without entering painstakingly thru the navigation system .
Have to figure out how to install the old version of the app In order for it to work .
volvo / bmw/ even Kia Mazda all offer phone connectivity along with remote starter in CANADA .
i am not sure when would be this work here .
did speak to Mercedes CANADA and they have no idea about companion app or even the Me app .
