2015 C-class 4matic
best for fuel economy

Just purchased a pre-owned 2015 C class 4matic.
Which is the preferred mode of driving to reduce gas consumption: C vs E vs S?
I have read through the owners manual & looked at the digital manual and can't find an answer.
Also, is it best to always drive with ECO start/stop function engaged?
Thanks for any help...

It will depend on how you drive of course, but definitely not "S" if your only concern is MPG. Start/Stop will save some gas if you have lots of stop and go traffic or signal lights.

I drive in ECO all the time ,The car has no power at all So I have had to change how I drive , it’s 2 different cars from E to C , sports I rarely ever use. I average 27mpg combined with a lot city driving.

Start&stop I always leave on because I’m too lazy to change it every time once you build up the habit of lifting the foot easy and early , it won’t bother you.
