Hey all. I've had my C450 now for 6 months and I love love love it! Finally got some pics and wanted show off : )
But I also wanted some feedback on one issue. There is a significant gap when I hit the accelerator before it seems to engage after a quick stop. Of course I drive it in S+ mode almost exclusively but it doesn't seem to matter which mode. Just wondering if that is what others have experienced? If so, is there anything that can be done? If not, why might this be occurring?
I appreciate any input. I don't really like my local Merc dealership folks, it always feels like they can't be bothered with me. Maybe because I didn't buy it from them.

I don't have an answer for you, but you are not alone. I have had my 2015 E400 for over 2 years now, and have a similar issue. The worst time is when you are driving slowly, like through a parking lot, and you let off the throttle completely as you coast up to an intersection. If you then stop down on the throttle. . . nothing. . . for what seems like 2 or 3 seconds. I have found that the fastest way to get the car back into motion is to completely let off the throttle again and step down again. Mine usually gets going then.
I have mentioned this to my dealer, and they attribute the lag to the car's computer getting confused, thinking that since you have let completely off the throttle, you must be planning to stop. Computers -- Meh! Never had this problem with the mechanical linkages.
I have the same issue. Press the gas.. takes a sec or two to actually accelerate. I do not like it of course, but I have gotten used to it. I also know since it is twin turbo, I knew there would be a delay in acceleration.
I don't notice it in Sport+ (I think) but I do in other modes.
I also heard though, that MBenz is known for this lag when accelerating. I think I read something on road and track or one of those other magazine/sites about how the throttle response in MB is common.
Well.. in the situations you guys are each describing - other than the parking lot - on the street/highway you are better served with a 2 1/2 sec pull on the left paddle before your pedal-hammer - that paddle tells the tranny to get to the the peak gear stat..
