SD card write error

I recently started receiving an "SD card write error" message on my navigation screen. I've had the car for two months, and just started getting this message this past week. The only thing that has changed is the weather.

I've tried the "switch on the SD card in both positions. It does not change the results.

Once I click "OK," everything seems to work as normal. But I get this error message now every time I start the navigation system.

Has one else seen this before?

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

I was going to suggest flipping the switch on the SD card, but if you've already tried I'm not sure what else to try. Maybe you can try a full reset of the HU by choosing "Reset to Factory" from the vehicle settings.

Also - One thing you can try is to connect the SD card to a computer and run the MB Garmin Update Tool to "Restore" your card. This will take a few hours but will restore your card and might work. Be careful when doing it though. You need to have a good internet connection and leave the computer running for sometimes longer than 6 hours.

I've definitely tried "flipping the switch" as mentioned in your first post. I'll give this a try when I can find some time. Thanks for the suggestions.

A gaggle of MB's
The read/update/restore on the web tool is good advice - with a SD reader - best to do in the evening - it's the download speed and write-to-SD which is slow-mo

Can you provide a link, or otherwise point me to this tool?

Any updates?

Hey any updates on this? I took my car to the dealership and all of a sudden I'm getting the same error. Really pissed off at the moment.
