Terrible Customer service has ruined the car for me now..
Car failed its safety on first day due to dealer splitting tire installing winters day before. So after a second safety and new tire $600 I find that both front rims are bent which is causeing the vibration through floor /pedals and steering. Dealer doesn't answer calls , emails or responds to registered letters ( he is 250km from me so can't just drop by).
Question is would you expect the rims to be covered under the original sale / warranty.
oh and Navi is version 4, never been updated , so that will be another day at dealer which means 5 visits in 5 weeks !!
On the day of the service, I dropped off my car after they copied my paperwork and drove a loaner to work where I got a call from the service advisor who said they'd never heard of prepaid maintenance being transferable and told me I'd have to deal with MB Financial on it. I called MB Financial and was then told a different story saying I had to work with the original owner and selling dealership (with whom I called after and didn't get too far with).
As a result I wrote a detailed, but polite letter to the Southern Regional Manager for MBUSA and after a couple days received a call from a customer service representative who in the end helped straighten out the situation. It was a headache and took about a month to sort out, but they did correct the situation and handled it very well when it was said and done. The dealerships ultimately answer to Mercedes Benz, so it might be worth looking into contacting someone a little higher up the food chain that deals with Ottawa to see if they can insert themselves to help resolve your issues.
No matter what, I hope you get it figured out and get to enjoy your car!
