Another dash rattle question

To begin with I just had the wrist pin repair done on my 2015 and the engine runs great. Couldn't ask for better. Now I have this resonant vibration from the either drivers dash area or the drivers door hinge (possibly area) or the door itself. Sort of like those old football games from the 70's when the metal would vibrate the plastic players in any direction they wanted to go. Certain RPM's only----annoying as **** when it happens. Sort of like truck vibrating the windows of your house when it goes by.. Tried a few things underhood in the firewall area-what I could see or get to. I'll see if the delaer can diagnose it when I go back for yet another LED out and a plastic tab they broke during the wrist pin repair on a hose coming off the intercooler that mounts to the thermostat housing. Anyway bottom line for me is............. I decided I'm not keeping this car beyond the 2 years of warranty left. It's nice but has too many annoying issues. MB should be grateful to the faithful who keep trying to work things out. Me..I'm not forcing this car to be something it isn't. It's not assembled to a level of quality that commensurates with the retail price thats for sure. Shame.......... it is pretty and has good features. Anyway. does anyone have any ideas where to start or should I just let dealer techs try and figure it out?

Places where I've found rattles are the command screen, the headliner between the front and back panoramic roof, the head rest, and doors. Each required a visit to the dealership; sometimes multiple, because they couldn't find the rattle when I dropped it off. It's quite bothersome, and I agree, the car has a lot of cool features and looks nice inside and out, but not worth all the headache it has caused me thus far.

Well today I turned on the air conditioner and the additional drag of the air compressor makes the engine very noisy at idle. Like a dull sound of say tennis ***** in a dryer. So something is wrong. I think the motor mounts are broken or the engine is not aligned right which would explain the vibration I described here. it has now gotten much worse. So off to the dealer we go again.....I hope the engine isn't off balance due to the rebuild. If that's the case I'll be trading it in for an Impala LTZ with a V6. This is what I feared with a wrist pin repair..

I dunno yet. maybe just exhaust pipes that were assembled too close to the unibody after the engine was put back in. Thats what Im thinking now. For a 4 the engine is really good. Believe me I am not a fan......This problem is human error Im sure

Can you upload a video of the noise? Keep us posted. I've had the wrist pin repair a few months ago, and everything has been pretty smooth since (knock on wood)

I really believed Mercedes-Benz makes quality products and just after I owned one (late 2015 C class), now I know how wrong I was. If someone told me that story earlier, I would call him a liar. The car was not able to withstand half of the warranty period, that's truth. After initial happiness with the car, at the end of ownership I felt like this premium company made a fool out of me by selling me something that's not even close to premium expectations. Quality, reliability, customer service, dealership, workshops... Everything was bad. Maybe other manufacturers and modern cars are not any better, not sure, but this was a shocking experience.

Yes, the W205 isn't built like the MB from the past.

This car has definitely turned me off from 4 cylinders for a while. Looking forward to dropping it back at the dealer in a few months...

So I went to the dealer today. Diagnosis is a bad AC Compressor bearing. Could be because a week or so ago the system was opened up and then recharged during the wrist pin process. Maybe it was just ready to go after 3 short years?? Either way. EZ warranty fix next week,

No not yet. I dropped it off yesterday for that repair and a hose from the intercooler that the tech broke a tab on when he did the wrist pin. Also 2 door LEDS out and a little noise from the steering when I go back to center from a left turn its like a wroooo kinda noise for a sec or two. I think for all the parts the tech removed to do the wrist pin on my car if he only broke 1 plastic part- He's a mechanical God. I've done my own repairs for decades now and often break things during the process. especially plastics. I have a 2018 CLA250 4 Matic loaner. Really neat little car. Shifts sound like a well shifted manual trans. This one had 8 miles when I took it off the lot. Now it has about 80 on it. I noticed its only getting 15 mpg so far. Cool car though I gotta say
