Disabled Features for US-Spec Cars?
Hello, I am getting a new C-class within the next 2 weeks and was wondering if anyone knows of features/options that are changed for US-Spec cars?
I found out that features such as the Adaptive Highbeam Assist will be disabled due to archaic laws and regulations (an expensive ~$1000 option).
Also, those hideous rear plate bumps on the coupe are installed for the same reasoning...
I'm from Canada but we seem to be under the same rules as our neighbours in the South.
Thanks in advance!

I have the adaptive high beam assist on my Canadian '17 C300, it's the AHA "plus" that's not enabled. Still has basic low beam to high beam automatic switching functionality, but not the partial high beam effect of it. When I check the AHA system at work, I can see the partial high beam activation buttons on the Xentry menu, but nothing happens when I try to activate them via Xentry actuations.

Sorry I am not really catching on the differences between the euro version and us version. There is no bending of lights during curves, no bending of lights when I turn the steering wheel, no 32 LED computer-controlled glare-free technology, and no blue LED ambient light during unlock?!. Is the only feature that AHA gives the automatic turn on and off?
Also, there are no ways to enable some of these features through a little hoccus poccus on the computer?

Unfortunately, no computer shenanigans will make this work. MB strictly controls SCN coding and variant programming of all the new vehicles. I couldn't add things from a euro spec MB to my W205 even if I wanted to. From what I understand from the training videos, Basic AHA switches between high and low beam depending on traffic and street lighting scenarios. AHA PLUS has the added functionality of "casting shadows" on oncoming traffic by turning off some of the individual led's in the headlights that would shine directly at the forward vehicle.
Here's a video of what I'm talking about.
And the active curve illumination is together with the AHA headlight package from new. I have no idea about the blue light illumination during unlock.

Too bad the functionality of "casting shadows" is disabled. I think that was the main selling point of these headlights. I prefer to manually activate/deactivate my high beams as I know the auto function may be slow and not effective on hills. Seems as though this technology is not very valuable for NA cars...
Anyways, appreciate the response. Cheers.
