Does sport suspension come with AMG shocks?

Hi all,

I just installed H&R springs on my C400 4matic. I really like the new look! I was told by the shop where I had them installed that my rear shocks were bad. I did hear it thump here and there before the drop but did think much about it. Now I hear the thump more often. I called my service advisor to bring in my car and have the rear shocks checked out under warranty.

Question is, does sport option with 19’s come with an AMG shock or is it the same shock as in all the C class MB? Also if I do need to replace them would it be better to go to let’s say a Bilstein shock instead of a OEM? I’m not trying to go hardcore on the suspension my car is a daily driver.

Thanks,
Alex

I suspect the dealer is going to void the warranty of your OEM shocks as soon as they see the H&R spring.... Good Luck...

Just updating everyone. Picked up my car yesterday. MB replace the the rear driver side shock. They said it was the only shock leaking so that’s the only one they replaced. They didn’t bring up or mention the drop H&R springs. I was hopping they would replace the pair.
It might be me but I feel like the left side with the new shock sits higher now. Though grateful, I feel uncomfortable knowing only one side is new and there might be a performance issue.

I’m thinking I should replace both now?? Any feed back?
