Coolant sign 3 times passed 4 months

Coolant sign 3 times passed 4 months
My check coolant sign showing up 3rd time now (c250 2015) in 4 months. Each time i took to the merc dealer they said it was just a top off. They did pressure check and said all normal. Well it happened again and i took it to a mechanic who said it must be a cooler issue and might be coolant and oil mixing. The color is brown. Dealor only told me its brown due to rust!
Now this time dealor admits there is somthing wrong and will change the cooler and radiator.
I was driving this car for months under the impression that all was fine. Is the engine or other parts harmed during their mis diagnosis ... do i need to do any special checks.
