It it possible to install steering wheel incorrectly?

As a warranty my service advisor (really nice guy) fully rewrapped the steering wheel with new leather.
However... since then my car goes left when I put my steering wheel straight.
I have to turn my steering about 10 degrees to the right to go straight... (and it does go straight)...
The crooked steering wheel bothers the **** out of me :C
Do you guys think its an alignment issue or they fit the steering wheel incorrectly? (Also the service tech made a huge hole on side of the steering wheel is that normal? the otherside still has that leather covering)
I'm around 28k miles so I was going to get a new tire and an alignment at 30K...
Last Alignment done at 20K miles with Service B.
Thanks
You say huge hole in the wheel, there's no reason for that, but there are spots that have to be punched out to remove the airbag the 1st time, so unless it's a brand new wheel that's never been off, they will have some small holes in the lower sides on the rear, where you can't normally see it. Don't just align the car to compensate for the wheel being wrong, have the wheel moved a tooth or two over to where it used to be.
If you're handy, it's easy to do yourself, just pop the airbag out and there's a single 10mm allen bolt in the middle of the wheel, remove it, note the position, move it over 1 or 2 teeth in the correct direction and try it. You don't have to unplug the airbag if you're careful, but if you disconnect the battery before doing it, no error lights will set.
