C200 Oil Level check

Hi

If I remove the dipstick after the car has been standing for a while it indicates that the oil level is low. If I then wipe the dipstick and check again it shows full! Which do I believe?

Never had this with any other car I have owned.

Thanks

You people make me chuckle. Pull the stick, clean it and check it. The airtight seal keeps the oil out of the tube. When you pull the stick, the oil level returns to normal.
