I’ve had my 2018 C300 two months now and I am finding my surround sound settings for Burmester are not saving. I go into each area, radio, media and CarPlay and turn surround sound on and set to front and back seats. Save the settings. Go on my way. Start the car again and they’ve defaulted to just the front seat, not the entire car or turned off altogether. Is there something I’m missing?
I have the same issue here and I got my car yesterday. Any insights would be helpful if yours has been resolved. Thanks!!
Hi! I've given up. I cannot find a way to make it keep the setting. Unfortunately, my MB dealership isn't that great. They were amazing before buying and during. But since the purchase, they could care less. Let me know if you find a solution!
I initially thought I had this issue with my 2021 GLC 63 and found this thread while searching for help on Google. However, after some research and experimenting with the settings, I realized the settings are indeed being saved. The confusion stems from how the Burmester interface is presented.
Even when All Seats is selected in Sound focus, the UI’s seating graphic always highlights the front seats when returning to the Sound focus settings. That makes it look as though the front seats are still the current setting.
In Sound profiles, the gold outline around a button indicates it has focus in the menu, while the gold colored box on the right side of a button indicates it is actually set. If you select Surround and then later return to that setting, the UI shows the focus outline on Pure, leading you to believe Surround was never saved.
In short, the inconsistent highlighting can make it seem like the settings haven't been applied, when in fact they have. Look for the gold colored box to the right of the buttons to find the current setting.
