Ambient lighting install
Hi guys hope someone can help, bought ambient lighting package from carphone decided to install centre console. First put led tubes in, connected wiring harness, removed cover from under steering wheel to thread wiring through to connect to blue connector but I can't see where to connect to. When I removed the cover under the steering wheel there is no blue connector. I have uploaded a couple of pictures when I removed the cover hopefully someone can see where I've gone wrong.

Did you take the center console off? I would think thats where everything would plug into. They have instructions on their website too. Let us know how it goes.
I am trying to get the same kit but these guys can't return an email.

Took centre console off as per the instructions. It's when I take the cover off under the steering wheel the instructions say connect to blue connector which I can't find.
I know what you mean about the emails it took me a few weeks to get a reply, just keep trying.

Try looking thru the first few posts on this thread. There’s a few pics of the a blue connector under the park brake button area.

Thanks just seen that one, was hoping it was a case of pull the panel down and there was the blue connector. Looks like I'll have to get a mirror and look up there I'm getting too old to be doing acrobat impressions.

I guess Aerowerkz sells the same product as Carphone. These are the instructions they supply.

How’s the install going? Carphone finally emailed me back. Wanted to see how it’s working out for you before I make the purchase.

On hold at the moment tied up with work. I think I found the the red connector seen it wth a mirror up inside the dash but I'll need the hands of a very small person to reach it. I'll let you know when/if I get back to it.

I've bought a second hand center console with ambilight.
My car is not delivered with ambilight, but I was thinking if I could do a mix of this oem ambilight in my new center console and the retrofit kit?
Will I be able to use the plugs from the retrofit kit to the center console and then only install the ambilight for the doors?
Would that work?

Think he means if he buys the kit can he use the harness for the centre console from the kit to get his second hand console to work. If that's the case I can't see a problem, you get the OBD to get the ambient lighting to work then you would retrofit the doors. You just need to wire the centre console up to the right module under the dash.

There are 3 wires from the light which I hope to be able to connect to the harness from the retrofit kit (as I am missing the complete harness).
Then afterwards I can install the light for the doors.

Exactly. It is to ease the installation process, as this light is already installed, and there is a recess (would I have to remove this otherwise?)

I bought the cental console with the ambient lights. do you found the pin connection for the wires in the image? I also have the connector, but it's the same.
