Happened to me too but both doors. Also caused some back damage as the collision was directly next to me at the B pillar. 6 months ago, but honestly your damage looks worse. They had to redo both driver side doors, trim, seals, fix rear and front quarter panels, and also repaint part of my bumper from when I went off the road. Was probably 6-7k in damage. Currently 5k+ medical bills and a back condition that I’ll live with for the rest of my life. Stay away from semi’s, our cars have blind spot why don’t they. I was in the right lane minding my own business being passed on the left.
You’re damage looks
I was side swiped by an 18 wheeler's trailer back in December in my 17 IS...my damage was just about the same as yours except I had A and C pillar damage...it cost a whopping $18k in damage. The crazy part is that my insurance company put me at fault and they decided to not total the car because it was too new so it was repaired. The body shop did a fantastic job but I'm glad it's a lease.
