TO stop start or not to stop start?
Hi Everyone. I've recently purchased a C220 Bluetec diesel (2015). I absolutely love the car. Huge upgrade from my Vauxhall Astra. This is basically the first car I've driven with a stop start option. Now- I've been told that using this function would not be best for me to use because of the route I'm taking daily which is a 3 mile journey to work which includes 14 traffic lights and some traffic. What I've been told is the stop start function has a lifespan of 50,000 start-ups....is that true? Would it harm my car to have this function on daily and does it really help fuel consumption. I drive mostly in comfort mode. thanks a lot!!!

Walk to work on Fridays. You're in the UK with glorious weather. But seriously, you've nothing to worry about. The car will outlast stop start.
