Front Frame Rail Damaged due to Accident
Hi Guys
I rear ended someone and the car is a write-off for insurance purposes but was wondering if it was still fixable. The front frame rail took quite a bit of damage and I'm wondering if it is fixable - looking for opinions. What do you guys think? Ive attached a picture of how the damage side looks and the undamaged side

The rails are part of the crash mitigation system. They are designed to bend (e.g., accordion) and thereby absorb energy during a frontal crash to protect the occupants. Post crash repairs to the rails (e.g., welds) degrade the system. The insurance company would rather write off the car than be responsible for a much more expensive personal injury claim due to a faulty crash mitigation system that they knew about. You can certainly fix it but as Alexasa said with a salvage title and you may not be able to get insurance.
