Guys I drive a W205 C300 amg sport pkg. with 245 wide tires in the rear and 225 in the front on the 18” amg rims. I was wonder if I can change that to 255 in the rear because it’s almost ready to change anyway.
I did - because I have had great luck with Continental Extreme Contact DWS06s on my other cars, but the front (225/45-18) DWS06s have a load index of 91, which Tire Rack says is too low for my C400.
As a result, I installed 235/45-18s in the front and 255/40-18s in the rear. My math says the speedo now runs 0.6 mph slow which is negligible and because the front and rear relationships are the same (from 26/25.7 to 26.3/26) there shouldn't be any gearing issues. Just took it on a 2,000 mile trip and it handled well and rode smoothly (especially compared to my former Conti Pro Contact run flats).
OBTW, I did buy some tire plugs, and a scissor jack (along with inserts for the frame pockets), along with the M-B space saver spare (205-400-01-00) from mbwholesalepartsonline.com (Silver Star in Queens). Fortunately, it takes up a little less trunk space than I thought it would, and I'm probably over-prepared, but the Missus insisted on the spare for a long trip. You know: "happy wife/happy life."

Hope this is helpful.
Do you have any pictures with the 235F/255R setup? I was also contemplating just changing the rears to 255 and keeping the front to 225, am worried that the front will bulge out too much from the current 7.5J stock wheel.
No problems whatsoever with my setup, as the Tire Rack rates 7.5/8.5 wheels as the lower limits for 235/255 tread width. I actually appreciate the extra rubber for wheel protection, but the net effect is that even the extra 10 mm makes the rear look "beefier" (bad lighting, so not that clear from the third photo, but trust me).
Hope this helps.

thank you for providing the pics, definitely very helpful! Yes, my exact thoughts on the 255 for the rears to have it look ""beefier". I like the rears with the 255, but not too sure about the front going wider than 225 though.*pondering*
Gotcha - ironically, "beefiness" notwithstanding, the only reason i went wider was because of the front load range issue with the 225/45-18 DWS06s. Going 235 front/245 rear, which i could have done, just didn't feel right. Couldn't justify $25/tire more for Pilot A/S3+s, and since I'm in the northeast, the DWS06's superior snow traction made the decision for me,
