C300 Options that you Like/Dislike
Shopping for a new car and wanted the opinions of current owners. Are there any options on your car you can't live without? Anything that you ordered but don't really use?
So far the AMG line is the only thing I see that I really like, but most cars for sale are loaded with stuff I'm not sure I would really use (HUD, NAV, ect.)
Thanks

5 months ago I got the c300 cabriolet. Like the AMG line option as it makes the car look nicer. Like the Multimedia option for the GPS and Sirius radio. Wish I looked for the Drivers Assistance package which has the distronic plus (adaptive speed cruise control). The mBrace entertain subscription I will not renew when the free trial is over. mBrace entertain which gives access to iHeart radio is very unreliable, FYI

Also, with the LED lighting, remember that there are 2 versions, LED with a 'projector' on only the low beam & full adaptive LED, swivels with the steering IIRC.
Mine has the first version (non-adaptive). Not sure if the high beam is still LED, it's a pretty pure white color though.
I specifically searched for a sport pkg & mine has multimedia, pano roof & Burmester.
Full leather with the ventilated seats would've been nice for the TX heat, not super common in black around here; red & gray are a lot more common to find.

C300 options
Agree with many that AMG styling option (or Night Package) is the way to go. For the interior, I prefer the look and feel of real AMG Nappa leather. I was tempted by HUD, by my dealer dissuaded me by describing it as "a toy" which adds nothing to resale value.
Instead, I opted for the safety benefits of the "Intelligent Drive Package".

The HUD is a great feature to have, I would highly recommend it. Allows one to truly focus just on driving and the surroundings. If its a cost issue, then sure its luxury not a necessity.

I did not opt for the Full LED nor the Burmester. I can say these are the 2 things I regret the most, especially the Burmester since the stock speakers are pure cr**. The LED looks nicer if it was the fully adaptive. I don't have the HUD as well and sometimes I feel I should've opted it in, so I can use it to monitor my speed while using the other display for other stuff e.g. media control.
GET THE BURMESTER if you don't wanna feel like every single speaker on the planet surpasses yours.

Burmester speakers should come standard for these cars, maybe a base c250 I could understand, but it should be standard after that model.

I have everything except the distronic and HUD. I think my full LED, real leather, and multimedia bigger screen are my favorite options. I guess 4matic is technically an option too and I love that. Least is probably keyless go, it often doesn’t work when I try and open the door. Push button always works but man is it disappointing having to find your key in your pockets after being denied entry into your own car.

My keyless go has been finicky on occasion, but I think it's mostly due to having keys & phone in the same pocket.
I've got the 19" on mine, and think they look better than the 18"s but they do give a firmer ride.

LED Lights, Sports Package, Burmester and Smartphone integration are a must have! I made the biggest mistake of getting the fully loaded interior options (premium leather, cooled seats, etc.) but not the sport package. Sucks.

The options you stated I agree are a must have. In fact the base model price should be ignored, the price anyone should be looking at is the car + options.

360 camera, panoramic roof and sport package for me. I pretty much have a fully loaded car aside from HUD, Burmester and real leather.
I do love the auto-park function but I can live without it

To be honest govt should make it compulsory on newer cars, its a god send in terms of avoid minor collisions.
Havent tried the auto park yet, I am nervous about it. Mind you only driven the car for a couple of hundred kms so far, so everything to me is still bloody exciting and new.
While I love music I have to admit Burmester while great wouldnt be a necessity with that said at the price its offered you just buy it esp if you are planning on having the car for years. There are after market products if you want HUD.
I didnt have the ionizer crap in the car I got, and tbh I wish it did along with cooling the seats but thats not possible with sports seats. So basically my car has everything minus those two items. Yes, I do miss them lol.
