Carplay stopped working


My c300's (2018) carplay suddenly stopped working, take a look at the photo.
The way it stopped working is very weird, it's just showing distorted image

You have had the recent OS update on your iPhone... disconnect MB-iPhone - on iPhone:

1. iPhone - go into Settings-CarPlay - and erase the current MB setting - reboot phone

2. on your MB - if you want to save station presets and other info - insert USB stick or SD card - go to System settings - choose Export Data and copy to that media - Remove media - then go to SYSTEM Settings - Reset to reset system to original defaults - then reboot MB (off-then-on)

3. Rebooted MB - restore settings if you have saved them - insert media - go to System Settings - Import - once complete - remove media and reboot MB

4. Connect iPhone again - it will be recognized as fresh phone CarPlay setup

This should clear this up - if CarPlay fails again you will need to see your dealer for reprogramming - there are "some" iPhones/CarPlay that have not been doing well since OS12 update

Yeah, I just made an update of iOS to version 12. Followed your instruction, indeed, it helped.

i had this exact issue on my mom’s 2019 GLA250 when I plugged in my iPhone X with iOS 12 to use car play, but it worked perfectly fine with my mom’s iPhone 7+ with iOS 11
