I know Auto controls the dipped headlights.

I know the main beam is controlled by the indicator stalk.

Im not sure if Auto automatically puts on the main beam when it is very dark. Sometimes I see the blue symbol on the dashboard which implies it is but I could have just accidentally flicked the stalk.

On my car it shows in the middle screen a highbeam icon with an A in it, then the blue highbeam icon near the speedo shows up when it actually turns on. I think you have to have the Advanced Lighting Package to get the automatic highbeams.

From the manual:

I'm not sure I have that feature.

I just mean Auto as in, it automatically puts on the dipped headlights when it is dark.

If there is no off position on the lights stalk then yes the lights come for themselves when it is dark provided the stalk is left in the auto position.
